Refund Policy

Reservations with MAX Recreation are subject to the following deposit requirements and conditions:

  • For multi-day rentals, we require a reservation deposit equal to a minimum of 50% of the rental amount (including applicable taxes & fees) to reserve equipment.
  • For single-day rentals you may be required to pay your rental fees in full at the time of reservation.
  • THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR RESERVATION DEPOSITS
  • If you cancel your reservation at least 31 days prior to your scheduled pickup, you may be entitled to receive a discount on your next rental within the same season.
  • If we are unable to fulfill your reservation due to damaged or otherwise unavailable primary equipment (the equipment that accounts for more than 30% of your rental fees), you may be entitled to receive a discount on your next rental within the same season.
  • If we are unable to fulfill your reservation due to damaged or otherwise unavailable accessory equipment (the equipment that accounts for less than 30% of your rental fees, or equipment for which you were not charged), you will not be entitled to receive a discount on your next rental within the same season, nor will you be entitled to a refund or discount for any portion of the primary equipment.
  • Changes to your reservation dates may void any/all discounts.

Missed Pickup, Late Pickup, and/or Early Return:

  • Due to the nature of equipment reservations, and their tendency to be exclusive by time slot, we simply cannot offer any refunds for missed pickups, late pickups, or early equipment returns.
  • Likewise, we cannot offer any discounts or refunds for any unused portion of your reservation due to ignorance, lack of understanding, failure to reach us for any reason, nor in the event of equipment failure, or cellular signal loss, or check-engine light illumination, or acts of God, or nature, or running out of gas, or bad or inclement weather, the boogeyman, you forgot your sunscreen, rollovers, your mother-in-law wouldn’t stop yapping, etc., etc., or any other reason whatsoever. The simple fact is: your reservation prevents us from allowing anyone else to reserve the equipment for the same duration of time, and therefore it is your responsibility to make use of the equipment in the proper manner during your reservation period.

Damage/Security Deposit hold/release policy:

  • A damage/security deposit is required for each unit of rented as outlined in our rental policy page.
  • Your security deposit will be ran a pre-authorization on your credit card. If no damage occurs to our equipment during your rental period, the the funds will be returned/refunded to the original credit card. Depending on the financial institutions involved, the funds may or not be available to you during this time. We have no control over when these funds will actually be released back to your card; however, it is typically not more than 7 days.
    • In the event damages exceed the amount held as a deposit, the entire outstanding amount will be due and payable immediately.
  • Renters under 25 years of age will be required to pay a 50% increase in their damage/security deposit.
  • You must be at least 21 years old to rent from MAX Recreation.

Equipment malfunction policy:

  • In the event that our equipment fails to perform due strictly to manufacturer defect (drive-belts excluded), wherein your operation and/or management of the equipment did not contribute to the failure, you may be entitled to receive a discount on your next rental within the same season.
  • In the event that our equipment fails to perform due to drive belt failure (for any reason), you will be expected to replace the drive belt (at your expense) with one of the following approved drive belts:
    • 2016 Polaris RZR XP 4 Turbo 1000 or 2016 Polaris RZR XP Turbo 1000
      • Gates 47C4266 G-Force Carbon Cord CVT Belt
      • Genuine 2016 Polaris RZR XP 1000 Turbo Drive Clutch Belt 3211186
  • In the event that our equipment fails to perform due to engine failure caused by extended overheating, the machine will be sent to the dealer for inspection & reading of the computer logs. If it is determined that your methods of operating the equipment were the cause (eg. aggressive driving or use at high temperatures) then you will be charged for the repair bill.

Chargebacks:

  • You waive your right to charge back for reservation deposits, damage deposits, security deposits, and all other amounts paid to MAX Recreation.
  • Any chargeback submitted will be considered an act of fraud and theft of services and goods on your behalf.
